Cuckold Cinema
Movies for hotwives and cuckolds
I am about to complete my master’s degree dissertation. I was tempted to do it on a theme that tries to answer the following question: Is there a hotwife-cuckold cinema just like there is a gay-lesbian cinema? Well at the end I turned down the subject but I got to see a lot of movies and at least I found out that the theme has been worked by many brilliant film-makers . So here I give you my list of recommendations for hotwives and cuckolds.
Highly recommended
1. And God Created Woman (1956) Directed by Roger Vadim
2. Belle de Jour (1967) Directed by Luis Buñuel
3. Emmanuelle (1974) Directed by Just Jaeckin
4. All ladies do it (1993) Directed by Tinto Brass
Also recommended
5. Lady Chatterley (2006) Directed by Pascale Ferran
6. Belle Epoque (1992) Directed by Fernando Trueba
7. The Piano (1993) - Directed by Jane Campion
8. French Twist (1995) Directed by Josiane Balasko
9. Y tu Mamá También (2001) Directed by Alfonso Cuarón
10. Sex and Lucia (2002) Directed by Julio Medem
11. Casablanca (1942) Directed by Michael Cutiz
12. La Dolce Vita (1960) Directed by Federico Fellini
13. Queen Margot (1994) Directed by Patrice Chéreau
14. Farinelli (1994) Directed by Gerard Corbiau

That’s a good list of movies, but some I don’t see how are about a hotwife or cuckolding.

good question small1sh. but that’s a question I leave open for others to answer. for example, why do you think I included Casablanca and La dolce vitta? If someone gives the right answer and comes to my city might even get a night with my wife…
and Trash. thanks for the link to the other list. I’ll need to see some of them too.
anyone else, post comments on whether you like any of these movies or not and why you think they are in my list.

it is a frquent theme in Francois Truffaut’s films.

Yes lets get a good list going. They don’t have to be pure cuckold and hotwife movies, but can be suggestive and have undertones of the writer/director including the theme.
If I was to make a movie I would not be so blatant but definately include subtle suggestive elements that people ‘in the know’ would see and understand.

I totally agree with you Trash. Think about it. Wouldn’t you make a movie for real? may be Daisy could be seen in a cameo.

Yes I’m tempted to do make a psychological drama and use elements of cuckoldry. Daisy as a cameo? yes good idea hehe..

Another movie to add to list: Lolita.

What about David Cronenberg’s CRASH?
James Spader as the cuckold husband and Deborah Unger as his beautiful hot wife - whose adultery so turned him on!! (Among other themes of course!!)
Then of course there’s Sam Peckinpah’s STRAW DOGS. Yes very controversial, but yet another heavyweight renowned director - tackling the cuckold theme.
And finally, what about Vidal Raski’s THE SINFUL DWARF. Very sleazy, very cheap - but wow is Anne Sparrow, the featured lusted after wife, stunning! More of a horror film I suppose, but then again many of those old Hammer Horror Films usually had a cuckold element didn’t they? You know, Count Dracula targeting some young guy’s hot young wife!!

Try Animal Instincts (1992), with Shannon Whirry

Buñuel’s “Ese Obscuro Objeto del Deseo” is a masterpiece of the genre. It is loosely based on Pierre Louis’ “La Famme et le Pantin” (or The Woman and the Puppet). Highly recommended both.

Another “horror” cuckold movie; ROSEMARY’S BABY, directed by Roman Polanski. Starring the beautiful Mia Farrow as the “broodmare” wife (who fornicates with the Devil) and John Cassavetes as her cuckold husband.

well i am not sure if this makes a mainstream movie…but what about tinto brass’s “mon amour”….well it definitely touches upon the very concept of HW and cuckoldry and moreover theres no sad ending in it….
